The Kennydale Lions Club is a local branch of Lions Club International, and has been in the community since 1957. It is a service club that has been involved in Christmas tree sales, sponsoring Boy Scout or Girl Scout troops, White Canes Vision awareness, making occasional meals for seniors at Houser Terrace, seeking out people within the community who lack the resources to afford eyeglasses and hearing aids, and funding scholarships for graduating seniors at Hazen High School.
We meet at the Kennydale Memorial Hall, 2424 NE 27th Street in Kennydale, at 7pm on the 2nd and 4th Mondays. Membership is by invitation but anyone is welcome to visit a bi-monthly meeting. Our club is small and we are seeking new members who are community minded, able to devote only a little time per month to meetings, and wish to develop a greater regard for their neighbors. For more information, please visit: www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/kennydalewa or see our Facebook page. Two other Lions Clubs are in Renton and serve other parts of the City.
