A NEW YEAR = NEW SUPPLIES FOR KENNYDALE ELEMENTARY

On August 17th representatives from the Kennydale neighborhood Association delivered new backpacks and school supplies (valued at $600) to Kennydale Elementary School.  These items had been purchased throughout the summer by KNA members and other caring residents who took the time to seek out back-to-school sales to get the greatest value for each dollar spent.  In addition, cash donations from other residents were utilized to fill out the variety of items that had been requested by the school. The need for these items goes on year-round, but KNA puts an emphasis on getting these items together at its summertime neighborhood events so that they will be ready for donation before the first week of school. A great big thank you to all who donated items, shopped, and/or contributed funds towards this endeavor!
