At Kennydale Elementary School, 1700 NE 28th Street Special Guest Speakers from the City of Renton: Doug Jacobson – Deputy Public Works Administrator The City of Renton hired a transportation engineering firm to conduct a detailed traffic analysis of future transportation needs along Lake Washington Blvd., between North Park Drive and N. 44th Street. The study analyzed the traffic impacts of six proposed developments in this area for near-term conditions and under 2035 traffic conditions with and without additional traffic lanes along I-405. Doug’s presentation will share the results of this analysis, and the proposed street improvements identified that will be required to help mitigate the additional trips generated by these developments. Jonathan Wilson - Renton Airport Manager The Airport has contracted with Mead and Hunt to update the Airport’s existing Master Plan. Master Plans are comprehensive studies that describe the short, medium, and long term development alternatives to meet an Airport’s likely future aviation demand. Master Plans are typically updated every 20 years. Renton Airport’s last Master Plan was completed in 1997. All Kennydale residents are invited to attend this quarterly meeting, and we encourage your participation in the Q&A sessions that will follow both presentations! *Check-in and socialize with your neighbors at 6:45 pm; meeting starts promptly at 7:00 pm.
