The Board and membership of the Kennydale Neighborhood Association (KNA) extends this welcome to all residents of Kennydale and in particular to those of you who have recently moved here, and also to longer term residents who we may have missed in our previous mailings of the Kennydale News, which now is sent to 2550+ homes (we are working diligently to make sure our mailing address data is up-to-date).
We have seen many changes in our Kennydale neighborhood over the years. There has been a substantial increase in the public’s recognition of Kennydale as a great place to live, resulting in people moving into existing homes, or into homes that are newly constructed. It has been a challenge for KNA’s Welcome Committee to keep track of all this activity, so we are asking for everyone’s help: when you see a new neighbor moving in, please give one of us on the Welcome Committee a call (see our contact info below). We will deliver them a welcome bag to help introduce them to the neighborhood and Renton as a whole. The bag is full of material about Renton: its parks and trails, a directory of City of Renton departments and staff, Emergency contacts, City-sponsored classes, events and activities, whom to contact when there is a problem on your street, and much more. All of this material is kept up to date and published by the City. KNA also includes a current copy of the Kennydale News, and information on how newcomers can join the Association. The KNA Welcome Committee will also have welcome bags on hand at all of our events and meetings to share with new neighbors and anyone else who wants to get up-to-date.
