Dubtown Brewing Company, located in vibrant Downtown Renton, is a microbrewery whose roots are right here in Kennydale. Owner and brewer Jason Griggs's passion for brewing began at home, where he built his Upper Kennydale garage into a fully-functioning brewery to test new recipes and share his beer with neighbors, family, and friends.
As a Renton native, Jason had always dreamed of opening a business that would become a community cornerstone. After hundreds and hundreds of brews, Jason was proud of the delicious signature recipes he’d developed and dreamed up a business plan with his wife Betsey. The Griggs family took the leap, and decided to open a family-friendly taproom in their hometown. Dubtown opened its doors July 1st, 2019, as a community-centric welcoming destination.
When you visit Dubtown, you'll feel at home on the large outdoor patio, which has socially distanced seating, (with tarps and heaters) or seated inside the spacious taproom. All beers on tap are brewed in-house - Partly Cloudy Hazy IPA and Main Street Pale are summertime favorites, but there's something for everyone whether it’s a porter, a pilsner, or a rice lager. Also brewed onsite are a seasonal hard seltzer and homemade non-alcoholic soda, with local ciders and wine available for non-beer drinkers. Great music, local art, and a truly inclusive community make Dubtown a true gem in the heart of Downtown Renton!
