KNA's 2019 Ice Cream Socials:
Fun, Friendship, Reptiles, a Movie & More!

 The two Ice Cream Socials held this summer at Kennydale Lions Park resulted in a record attendance of about 290 persons on June 23 and over 400 on August 20, for a total estimated attendance of over 700!  For these two events, the Kennydale Neighborhood Association served a record amount of delicious ice cream (14 tubs on 7/23 and 24 tubs on 8/20 – that’s 47 gallons total), and built further on the success that we had experienced at our 2018 Socials by including such attractions as the Facepainter, Balloon Clown, recreational games, food trucks, a new “Fire Hydrant Art” contest at the July event, and at the August social, the “Kennydale Rocks” rock painting activity and of course the Reptile Show which has proved to be a major hit and with kids and adults alike. At the end of the evening on 8/20, the outdoor movie “Bigfoot” was shown.

Presenting these two free events every year requires a lot of effort both before and during the event, and financial support as well, all of which comes from our event co-sponsors:
