What a wonderful Christmas Parade we had. Much of the route was filled with kids and parents which was a great thing for ending the year. The turnout was great to see. Thanks to all who participated!!
We introduced two successful events this year in the July 4 lining the streets with US flags and this recent Holiday parade. These events should be a permanent addition to our schedule. I look forward to when we can once again have events with gatherings such as the ice cream social, neighborhood meetings and others.
I know there are many financial pressures going on for everyone but would like to remind you that the Kennydale Neighborhood Association does have costs for the events we hold and would very much appreciate the $20 household renewals each year. Here’s to a Happy New Year for 2021!! With the introduction of the vaccine, the light at the end of the tunnel seems very real.

KNA’s Board Members would like to thank you, Kennydale Residents, for coming out to see our Santa parade this year. It was a new event for KNA, but it turned out wonderfully, not just for you, but for us as well. It gave us such joy to help Santa spread good cheer and see all your smiling faces. We had several cars from the KNA that were decorated in holiday gear, as well as the vehicle for Santa. The Huhs Family did an amazing job making the Santa truck look like a Santa sleigh. Kennydale was fortunate to have Santa agree to join the parade in which he spread so much joy. We loved seeing all the feedback, videos and pictures from you all. It was a special experience that we all needed this year. The event was sponsored by the Welling team (board members Luke & Jenn Welling) with Supreme Lending. They helped Santa bag up 460 bags of toys and candy to toss to all the kids along the route. We saw parents, grandparents, long time Kennydale residents, and many children jump with excitement that was so needed this year. We would also like to express our gratitude to Kennydale Fire Station15 for escorting Santa and his crew for over 3 hours. The community loved seeing our first responders. The parade covered many streets both lower and upper Kennydale. KNA and Santa were so excited to see you all. We can’t wait to do it again next year! This neighborhood is special and we are glad to share that with you all. Our KNA President, Paul Miller, spread so much cheer and did a great job supporting the north pole and his Kennydale community.
